Annual gifts to John Muir Health Foundation form the bedrock of support for John Muir Health’s facilities and services. These gifts help make it possible for us to:
- Provide the highest quality of care to all patients
- Update lifesaving medical equipment and technology
- Offer educational programs and screenings throughout the community
How Your Gift Helps
By making an annual gift to John Muir Health Foundation, you help save lives every day. When you make a gift to John Muir Health Foundation, you provide a critical resource that will be used where the need is greatest within the organization.
Your gift, no matter the size, is used to support the purchase of needed medical technology or to sustain a clinical program or service. Every recipient of funds provides a clear benefit to patients, families, and community members.
Supporting a Specific Clinical Area
You can also choose to support a specific clinical area of John Muir Health. As a private, not-for-profit institution, John Muir Health offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services, including Contra Costa County’s only trauma center at its Walnut Creek campus.
Additional areas of distinction include: Behavioral Health, Cancer Care, Cardiac Care, Children’s Services, Emergency Services, Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery, Neurosciences, Orthopedics, Surgical Services, Trauma Services, and Women’s Health Services. The generosity of our donors helps John Muir Health maintain the high standard of healthcare for which it is known in these areas.
Supporting a Specific Program Area
John Muir Health also offers many community educational programs and support groups, clinical screenings, and medical services. Examples include our mobile health and dental clinics, continuing education programs for staff and clinicians, and life-enhancing programs for seniors and other community members. Generous gifts have enhanced the services provided by our Caring Hands Volunteer Caregivers Program.
In addition, contributions to our Friends of Nursing Fund have helped members of our nursing staff participate in research to enhance nursing practice and to attend conferences and workshops to maintain their specialty certifications.
