Concord, Calif. (October 1, 2012) – In conjunction with John Muir Health and Diablo Valley Oncology, Sunvalley Shopping Center will host a special Breast Cancer Awareness event entitled Pink Up The Mall, kicking off October 1st. Throughout the month, Sunvalley merchants will feature special “pink” themed cancer- awareness merchandise and discount offers on pink colored products. Mall merchants will also promote Breast Cancer Awareness by showcasing PINK window dressings.
The highlight of the event will take place on Sunday, October 7th, at 1 p.m. in the Grand Court. Ann Notarangelo, award-winning journalist and CBS 5 Eyewitness News Weekend Edition anchor, will act as the Mistress of Ceremonies. Breast cancer survivors will be recognized by their respective oncologists and surgeons and featured in a Surviving in Style Fashion Walk. Fashions will be provided from participating Sunvalley stores including Macy’s, Sears and JCPenney and hair and makeup will be provided by Regis Salon and Mary Kay.
