We require students to be at least 14-1/2 years old, 2nd semester freshmen, and with a grade point average 3.0 plus. A mandatory orientation takes place on a Saturday each fall and spring; at least one parent or guardian is expected to attend. Afterward, students receive additional training and are scheduled for one three-hour shift per week, year-round. Students are expected to volunteer through the end of senior year.
