Community Mental Health Education:

Promoting Mental Health

The John Muir Behavioral Health Center is offering a free support and education program for families or significant others of persons with mental illness or those interested in learning more about mental illness. The program is offered on Mondays from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Behavioral Health Center, 2740 Grant Street, Concord.

The program topics include an introduction to diagnosis, signs and symptoms of mental illness; treatments offered for various disorders; coping strategies to deal with the stresses and behaviors associated with having a family member with mental illness.
