For asymptomatic individuals, there is currently no routine screening test for kidney cancer. Most kidney cancers are found incidentally, in the process of assessing other medical conditions. However, patients considered at high risk for kidney cancer should discuss with their physician whether ongoing monitoring is warranted. Regardless of any surveillance schedule your physician has established, do not delay seeking medical advice if you should experience any of the symptoms of kidney cancer.
