"I joined John Muir Health on 3/27/06 and I've been a nurse for 15 years. I came to Northern California from Colorado because my husband had a job transfer. I made him drive me to all the area hospitals, so I could walk in and get a feel for the place. I just liked the John Muir facilities on first sight. I did my homework on the Internet, and read about their patient satisfaction surveys and that told me that their nurses were happy too. When I interviewed here I really liked the Manager and the whole attitude towards nurses."

"I've been a nurse for 7 years. The reason I joined John Muir Health is different. It was the way the wife of a family member was treated here after a car accident. She was transferred to the DCU here from Sacramento after she was stabilized. I liked what I saw from a nursing standpoint...the discretion of the attending doctor, the attention of the CNAs and the staff, even the quality of the cleaning crew. I thought this is a good place! I have been here a year and I plan to stay. I tell my friends and other nurses, "This is it!" I don't know if it could get any better."

Intensive Care Nursery

"I have been at John Muir Health for just one year. I have been a nurse for 6 years. I graduated here in Oakland, went to Ohio and spent two years there, then worked in Phoenix, Arizona and then moved back to San Ramon. When I started looking for a job in this area, I asked a couple of nurses for their advice and they said "Go to John Muir...it is excellent." Usually when you are job hunting, you hear good things and bad things. But nobody said anything negative about the hospital. I heard only good things. They use the very latest technologies, and are always trying to improve the quality of patient care. If a coworker suggests something they are willing to try. I am really happy here."
