Parking is provided free at most John Muir Health facilities. Use of commute alternatives is encouraged to allow easier access to our services by our patients and their families.
2005 Bay Area Best Workplaces for Commuters
The Northern California Chapter of the Association for Commuter Transportation and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has named John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek Campus as one of the 2005 Bay Area Best Workplaces for Commuters.
The distinction is based on voluntary participation and highlights the efforts of top employers to help get employees to work safely, on time, and free of commute-related stress.

In 2004, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Transportation recognized John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek Campus, Walnut Creek , CA, as one of the BEST Workplaces for Commuters. We received the award for providing our employees with outstanding commuting benefits, which meet the National Standard of Excellence and help reduce traffic and air pollution in our community. To encourage our employees to use alternative methods of transportation to and from work, we have developed a Commute Alternative Program that includes:
- Carpool, with onsite parking
- Guaranteed Ride Home Program
- Taxi Vouchers to/from BART
- Subsidized tickets/passes for employees who:

Parking is free on site in a secure parking lot reserved for all employees.

1400 Treat (Corporate Offices)
There are modest fees for employee parking at our John Muir Health corporate office at 1400 Treat Blvd., in Walnut Creek. Bus stops and BART are located right across the street from this site, for easy access.
