"On my floor in particular, we work on oncology with newly diagnosed patients, as well as those near the end of life. We have a lot of family interaction. The oncology team works really well together in putting the patients first. The next step for me is an MSN degree, and I know that I will be supported by this institution in my endeavor."

As a leading provider of cancer care for both adults and children, John Muir Health offers technologically advanced screening and diagnostic tools, leading edge treatment capabilities, and a cancer care team to individualize care and support at both our Concord and Walnut Creek campuses. As an extension of our commitment to the communities we serve, we also offer a wide range of cancer-related public services that promote awareness regarding prevention, early detection and treatment.

The hematology and oncology specialists at the John Muir Pediatric Oncology program provide outpatient treatment to children referred to us from around the community. Services include chemotherapy, blood transfusions and diagnostic follow up. Patients often establish their treatment protocols at UCSF and continue outpatient treatment at John Muir, where we guide them on the path to recovery in their home communities.
