At John Muir Health both campuses provide comprehensive surgery services. The Concord campus specializes in Cardiac, Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery, and Walnut Creek specializes in Total Joint Replacements, spine procedures and neurosurgery.

We offer groundbreaking techniques and equipment far ahead of others in our field. We were among the first in the Bay Area to perform the mini-knee and artificial-disk replacement surgeries. As Contra Costa County's only Trauma Center, Walnut Creek provides our surgeons with specially designed surgical equipment available for treating orthopedic traumas and other complex cases. At John Muir Health we are looking for Perioperative RNs who are eager to learn new techniques, procedures, equipment and methods for delivering safe patient care and quality outcomes.

We have an outstanding medical staff that stays abreast of the most recent procedures. Our nurses play a leadership role in perioperative nursing practice that focuses on sophisticated care planning and patient interventions. The role of the RN is one of professional practice that includes autonomy, clinical decision-making and nursing excellence.
