The Capital Campaign

The John Muir Health Foundation is charged with raising critical funds for our most exciting and ambitious endeavor to date - the Capital Campaign - in support of major building projects totaling $800 million that will build for the future and enhance the existing hospital campuses in Concord and Walnut Creek.

The building projects are being funded through a combination of:

• John Muir Health reserves
• Borrowing in the capital market (bonds)
• Philanthropic contributions

Philanthropy is critically important to the success of these building projects because contributions to the Capital Campaign help keep the organization strong as it grows. Philanthropic gifts prevent John Muir Health from exhausting reserves and strengthens our bond ratings in the capital market.

100% of all Campaign gifts directly fund the building projects.
