Frequently, patients and families ask how they may acknowledge the fine nursing care given at John Muir Medical Center.

So we've created the Friends of Nursing Fund so that you may show your appreciation of nursing care received, honor a nurse who provided an exceptional experience, or give recognition to a nursing unit staff where you or your family received care.

The Friends of Nursing Fund supports nursing excellence by providing opportunities for our nursing staff to:

• Attend national programs and conferences to maintain their specialty certifications.
• Participate in research and implement evidence to improve current nursing practice.
• Sponsor on-site continuing education programs for staff at both John Muir Medical Center campuses.
