John Muir Physician Network works hard with our physicians in facilitating the highest quality health care services for our patients. Quality improvement programs are implemented with the goal of delivering high satisfaction and value to our patients and physicians. Our participation in a number of statewide quality improvement initiatives has achieved statewide recognition as one of the top performing physician organizations in clinical quality and patient satisfaction. The following are some of our programs in place to improve the health of our patients:
- Mammography Improvement Program:
Patients receive needed routine screening for the early detection of breast cancer.
- Lipid Intervention Project:
Patients with cardiovascular disease and diabetes are given needed lab testing and prescription medications to control LDL, or "bad cholesterol" levels.
- Pediatric Obesity Improvement:
Families are provided education and resources on making healthy food choices and increasing physical activity.
- Colon Cancer Screening:
Patients are provided the necessary testing for early detection of colon cancer.
- Improving Patient Experience with Care:
We are one of a handful of physician groups in California participating in an 18 month project to improve the level of service we provide to our patients. The methods learned in this program are now being spread to physician practices within our network.
