Stroke Centers Receive National Recognition
The John Muir Neuroscience Institute is pleased to announce that John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek Campus and John Muir Medical Center, Concord Campus are two of only 31 hospitals recently honored nation-wide by the American Stroke Association for their success in using Get With The Guidelines to improve acute stroke treatment and prevent future strokes and cardiovascular events. These guidelines utilize current evidenced-based practices in the approach to care for stroke patients.
Our medical centers are currently the only JCAHO certified Primary Stroke Centers in Contra Costa and Alameda counties and two of the 18 certified stroke centers in the state of California.
