Diabetes Awareness Month Educational Event
In celebration of Diabetes Awareness Month, the John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health System will host a free community health education seminar. This program will be held in the Ball Auditorium at John Muir Medical Center and is co-sponsored by the John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health Network.
"Diabetes Dialogue: Heart of the Matter"
Wednesday, November 20, 2002
6 to 8:30 p.m.
Speakers:
- Nancy Snyderman, M.D., well-known television personality and medical spokesperson, and Alan Garber, M.D., will discuss the strong link between diabetes and cardiovascular disease during a pre-recorded videotaped conference.
- Douglas Zlock, M.D., endocrinologist and medical director, John Muir Diabetes Center, will speak about new treatments in diabetes.
- John Muir Diabetes Center staff and medical director will participate in a question answer panel discussion.
- Educational materials, current research, healthy refreshments and more than 10 vendors displaying the newest technology will be available.
