Applications for the 2003 Richard B. Irvine, M.D., Memorial Scholarship Award are currently being accepted by Mt. Diablo Medical Center's Clinical Education Committee. Students of accredited medical schools who reside or graduated high school in the following cities are eligible: Concord, Clayton, Antioch, Pittsburg, Benicia, Vallejo, Walnut Creek, Pacheco, Pleasant Hill, Martinez or Lafayette.
This scholarship award was created in 1976 to honor the late Richard B. Irvine, M.D., who was a family practitioner on the medical staff at Mt. Diablo Medical Center for many years. The scholarship is funded by personal donations from the Mt. Diablo Medical Center medical staff.
Completed applications, along with a copy of a high school diploma or proof of residence in one of the cities listed above, and a letter of recommendation from the Dean of the applicant's medical school, must be received by January 5, 2004.
