National Research Corporation Names
John Muir Medical Center a "Top Hospital"
National Research Corporation (NRC) has recognized John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek as one of the nation's top hospitals in their 2003 Consumer Choice Awards. The winners are hospitals consumers choose as having the highest quality and image in more than 100 markets throughout the U.S.
John Muir and Stanford Hospital and Clinics of Palo Alto were co-winners in the Oakland, CA consumer area.
Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company's annual NRC Healthcare Market Guide® study. Of the 3,000 hospitals named by consumers in the study, the winning facilities rank highest in their Metropolitan Statistical Areas, as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau.
