Patient Safety
Medication Safety
Our team of staff work closely together to ensure that necessary prescribed medications are continued during the stay and those new medications are monitored and adjusted to assist you in that recovery. Nursing staff follow the Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals - by using 2 identifiers to pass medications, and record and repeat all telephone orders to physicians to ensure accuracy.
Cultural Competency
On-site interpreters are obtained for patients whose language is non-English, or need American Sign Language translation for select hours daily. Additionally 24 hour telephone interpretation is available.
Accidental Needle Pricks
We monitor staff accidental needle sticks daily.
For 2007 there have been no staff needle sticks
For 2006 there was 1 staff needle stick
