Education and Community Outreach
John Muir Health Laboratory Services continues to invest in Education and training for its employees. The goal of this key initiative is continued improvement in our employees' skill level; thus resulting in better care for the patients and communities we serve.
- An annual plan is developed each year to outreach to our community through Health Fairs, Grammar and High School programs to introduce the Laboratory to "Laboratorians-of-the-Future."
- We provide practical training for students; thus ensuring the employment of our own in-house-trained Phlebotomists and Clinical Lab Scientists.
- In order to keep pace with rapidly evolving advances in medical technology, we retain up to date clinical laboratory education for our staff.
