Humanotics at John Muir Health marries your surgeon's caring and expertise with robotic precision and accuracy, to produce the best possible results.
Procedures are performed through small incisions in the patient's body. The surgeon inserts miniaturized instruments, an extension of the surgeon's hands, through these incisions or "ports" , and controls the tiny surgical "hands" through a computerized system located at a remote console. The InSite™ Vision System console gives the surgeon a magnified, three-dimensional high definition view of the surgical field. Once inside, the surgeon uses the EndoWrist™ Instruments, which mimic the movement of human hands, wrists and finger, allowing the surgeon to perform delicate and complex procedures with enhanced precision and control not possible with other instrumentation.
Because the surgeon is in a comfortable, seated position while performing the surgery, surgeon fatigue is greatly reduced. The technology does the work of precise and sustained movement with physician guidance
