A Personal Treatment Plan
When we first talk with you, we'll discuss the best path to ending your bladder leaks. Most likely, we'll recommend you complete our bladder diary and an evaluation by our nurse practitioner. She will meet with you, listen to you discuss your history and symptoms, provide a pelvic examination, and work with you to develop a care plan.
The next step varies depending on the outcome of the evaluation. You may meet with our urodynamic testing specialist, who will use bladder function tests to further determine the cause of your bladder dysfunction and its severity. From there, you may start physical therapy, and/or visit a specialist for further evaluation and treatment.
Cost and Insurance Coverage
John Muir Health accepts many health plans, including most HMOs and PPOs. For information on what your specific plan covers, please contact your health insurance company. Please note that if you are covered by an HMO, you will need a referral from your doctor. Download our referral form that you can take to your doctor. In the event you're health plan does not cover our services, we would be glad to discuss our discounted out-of pocket payment option with you.
