Verify your health insurance coverage

Contact your health plan to find out which, if any, weight loss surgeries are covered by your plan. You'll want to find out your deductible and any applicable copayments (out-of-pocket expenses), and determine whether John Muir Health and the surgeons are in-network (lower copayment) or out-of-network.

We accept most PPO and John Muir Network HMO plans, CCHP and Tricare. If you do not have insurance or your plan does not cover weight loss surgery, we have attractive self-pay packages.

Once you've determined to move forward with weight loss surgery, you'll work with us to prepare for surgery.
