John Muir Clinical Research Center is recruiting participants for a study to determine the probability of specific pulmonary diseases related to second hand smoke exposure.

  • Age 50-80
  • Non-smoker (smoked fewer than 100 cigarettes in a lifetime)
  • 5 years exposure to second hand smoke, either at the workplace or at home within the past 30 years
  • Has a Primary Care Physician to receive the results of the low-dose CT scan and order further diagnostic treatments as recommended

Participants will undergo a low-dose CT scan.  The cost of the scan will be $75. Funding assistance may be available to participants who meet the criteria for the Federal Low Income guidelines. Talk with your Study nurse for more information.
