The Medical Equipment Loan Program lends medical equipment to patients and community residents for up to 90 days free of charge. The program is intended to bridge the gap between eligibility and delivery of equipment through insurance coverage. It can also facilitate short-term use by individuals who lack the means to pay for equipment.
Equipment for loan includes:
- Bedside commodes
- Transfer benches
- Bath benches and chairs
- Canes, walkers, and walker accessories
The Medical Equipment Loan Program accepts donations of used equipment that is clean and in safe working order.
Equipment we are unable to take can be donated to the following community programs:
- Disabled Dealer of California, (800) 588-5099
- Home Care Recyclers in Oakland, (510) 251-2273
- Volunteers for Inter-American Development Association (VIDA), (510) 655-8432
