Mental Illness Family and Caregivers Support Group

An educational support and resource group for families, friends and caregivers of the mentally ill with information about resources, treatment, medications, social security, conservatorship and other important topics. Meets at John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek in the Sterns Conference Room. Sponsored by NAMI aka The Alliance for the Mentally Ill of Contra Costa. Co-facilitated by a board certified psychiatrist.

Continued support after completing an inpatient program is offered, including weekly support groups, outpatient visits with mental health professionals and referrals to local community resources.
