Treating Breast Cancer at John Muir Health

John Muir Health offers the most comprehensive and technologically advanced program for the treatment of breast cancer in Contra Costa County. From diagnostic and screening technology to state-of-the-art treatment options, we are focused on providing our patients with a complete continuum of exceptional care. We are also committed to support services that meet the diverse needs of our breast cancer patients and their families, including: cancer support groups, a dedicated breast cancer resource library, counseling and pastoral support, special community events, and referral to community organizations.
We regularly schedule meetings of the Breast Cancer Consultative Tumor Board, in which members of the multidisciplinary team review individual case histories and treatment recommendations to ensure that each patient receives the best therapeutic options available. Newly diagnosed women who wish to seek a second opinion are welcome to schedule a consultation, and are strongly encouraged to participate in decision-making. In addition, John Muir Health offers Every Woman Counts, a program for lower income women that provides free screenings and diagnostic services for eligible participants.
