Coronary Artery Calcium Screening

This is a safe, easy heart scan procedure used for cardiac risk assessment. A state-of-the-art CT scanner is used to identify calcifications in the coronary arteries. The scan takes only minutes. Physician referral required.

This national organization affiliated with the American Heart Association provides support to patients and family members who are dealing with heart disease. Volunteers in the John Muir chapter are people with heart disease, their spouses, family members, medical professionals and other interested individuals. Their personal experiences with heart disease help assist and support other heart patients and their families. Meetings alternates between Walnut Creek and Concord campuses.
