"John Muir Health's outreach projects have enabled us to bring in new technologies and perform new tests that you only find in the larger teaching hospitals. There are really special opportunities right now because we are opening a new Core Lab, so there will be ground floor opportunities for doing new tests for both medical centers. It's great news for technical folks like me, who are interested in a dynamic, growing organization that has a great reputation in the community, and can also offer fabulous new technology."

Laboratory Services at John Muir Health offer comprehensive clinical and anatomic pathology testing to the medical community. Hundreds of highly trained professionals including board-certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologists, Clinical Lab Scientists, Phlebotomists, technicians and support staff use state-of-the-art instrumentation, techniques, and data processing advancements backed by extensive quality control programs.

In response to the growing demand for our services, we have opened the MuirLab Clinical Laboratory, a new state-of-the art facility in Concord. It features the newest diagnostic testing equipment and vanguard information systems, such as the McKesson (Horizon) Lab IT System and Tamtron Powerpath System.

Both the Concord and Walnut Creek campuses have Rapid Response Labs that perform Stat monitoring tests. All centers are accredited by the College of American Pathologists and certified by the American Association of Blood Banks.

We are growing rapidly, and you can be part of this exciting expansion at one of our three lab locations.
