Commute Alternative Benefits - JMMC
In 2004, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Transportation recognized John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek Campus, Walnut Creek, CA, as one of the BEST Workplaces for Commuters. We received the award for providing our employees with outstanding commuting benefits, which meet the National Standard of Excellence and help reduce traffic and air pollution in our community. To encourage our employees to use alternative methods of transportation to and from work, we have developed a Commute Alternative Program that includes:
- Carpool, with onsite parking
- Guaranteed Ride Home Program
- Taxi Vouchers to/from BART
- Subsidized tickets/passes for employees who work weekdays and start their shift before noon:
