Pediatric Nursing
An ideal pediatric nurse will work well with patients of all ages and their families. He/she should be flexible, with good informal teaching skills, and work as a team member using professional and respectful communication. Experience in general pediatrics is beneficial. PALS certification is expected within the first six months and a National Certification in Pediatrics is a bonus. Our orientation is a one-on-one personal experience.

John Muir Pediatrics has stayed focused on the family for over 30 years. As the only private health system with a designated Pediatric Department in the East Bay, our comprehensive services start before a child is born with pre-natal care, and continue through delivery, childhood and into adolescence. Our team of specialists, including an extensively trained nursing staff and an in-house Pediatrician are dedicated to keeping the family comfortable and involved in the child's care - with patience and compassion.

Pediatric Oncology Program
Obtaining leading edge treatments, with experienced, caring and compassionate care providers is what our Pediatric Oncology Program does best. In this unique program our Hematology and Oncology specialists provide outpatient treatment to children referred to us from around the community. Services include chemotherapy, blood transfusions and diagnostic follow up. Patients often establish their treatment protocols at UCSF and continue outpatient treatment at John Muir, where we guide them on the path to recovery in their home community.

For the highest level of patient centered care, consider applying at John Muir Health.
