This two-day Continuing Medical Education activity is for health care professionals involved in the prevention and management of colorectal cancer. The course will highlight the evidence based practice guidelines and leading edge technology now available in improving outcomes for patients with colorectal cancer.
On the first day, participants will hear lectures from nationally known experts on surveillance, genetics, imaging, minimally invasive surgical techniques and multimodality treatment protocols. The second day will focus on surgical techniques and will include a live telesurgery and a hands-on cadaver lab.
The course is intended for medical and radiation oncologists, general surgeons, colorectal surgeons, family practitioners, internists, gastroenterologists, pathologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other allied health professionals interested in surveillance, diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer.
