The John Muir Health mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve with quality and compassion. Our vision statement provides direction for the community benefit programs of John Muir Health:
JMH makes its community benefit contributions through two vehicles. Together these two strategies extend our reach to support community based organizations as well as firmly connecting our hospital and clinical expertise to community programs that we would otherwise not reach as effectively.
The John Muir/Mt. Community Health Fund (CHF), a separately incorporated supporting organization to John Muir Health, is responsible for the grant-making component of John Muir Health's community benefit program. The CHF awards grants to community-based health initiatives and supports the development of interagency health partnerships that are often necessary to achieve the best health outcomes from funded initiatives.
Our community programs and partnerships are managed through the John Muir Community Health Alliance®. Our programs focus on those who are most at risk. They connect John Muir Health expertise with community-based organization expertise so together we can do more than each entity could do alone. Partnerships increase our collective impact on the health of our communities.
