Sweet Success - Diabetes and Pregnancy Program

The Center for Diabetes is a regional perinatal program of California. Sweet Success includes a multidisciplinary team composed of physicians, nurses, dietitians, and social workers who provide comprehensive education, nutrition, psychosocial, and medical services to the pre-pregnant and pregnant woman with diabetes.

Sweet Success - Gestational Diabetes Exercise Program

An exercise program supervised by a physical therapist for women with gestational diabetes in the Sweet Success Diabetes and Pregnancy Program. This program offers low-intensity upper arm ergometry to assist in controlling high blood sugars.

Insulin Pump Program

This program provides individual instruction in an insulin delivery system that assists in providing improved blood glucose levels and a flexible lifestyle. Offered at John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek Campus.

Intensive Insulin Therapy

This program combines individual and group sessions for individuals who want to improve control of their blood sugar levels and adjusting insulin dosage, including intensive therapy and the use of an insulin pump. Offered at John Muir Diabetes Center.

Screening for the Diabetes Prevention Trial

Diabetes screening is available to people under 45 with a relative with Type 1 Diabetes (juvenile type - diagnosed before age 40). Blood drawn at John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek Campus.
