What is the Doctors Answer℠ program?

Doctors Answer℠ is a medically supervised fasting program with anin-depth psychological component for individuals who are 30 pounds overweight or more.

This unique approach to weight loss enables you to lose weight safely and rapidly and at the same time, receive psychological and nutritional support to ensure long term success.

Who can benefit from this program?

Individuals 18 years of age and older who are 30 pounds overweight or more.

What are the key program components?

Our program is a multifaceted and comprehensive approach to weight loss and maintenance of your goal weight. A professional staff of board-certified endocrinologists, clinical therapists, registered dieticians and other medical professionals work together to deliver a high quality, complete program that will help you reach your target weight, gain the insights and acquire the skills necessary to change your life and achieve lasting control of your weight.

Component #1: Liquid fasting under the direct supervision of a physician. Liquid fasting is very safe and effective when done under a physician's supervision. The Doctors Answer℠ program is staffed by board-certified endocrinologists who are specialists in metabolic diseases.

Component #2: On-going group counseling and support sessions with a licensed therapist. Understanding the underlying reasons for your weight problem is crucial to the successful maintenance of weight loss. "Yo-yo" weight loss and gain can be attributed, in part, to the lack of understanding of the psychological factors that contribute to weight gain.

Component #3: Nutritional instruction and guidance. Learning about food facts and healthy nutrition tips from a registered dietician is essential to maintaining weight loss and living a healthy, energized lifestyle.

How quickly will I lose weight?

On the fast, women average a weight loss of 3 pounds and men average 5 pounds on a weekly basis. Some patients lose more.

What is in the liquid supplement?

The Doctors Answer℠ dietary supplement consists of a well-balanced, high quality carbohydrate and protein mixture with added minerals and vitamins to provide 100% of your body's daily nutritional requirements. The supplement is filling, satisfying and safe.

How long do you fast?

You fast until you reach your desired weight. There is no limit to the amount of weight you can safely lose. After reaching your desired weight, food is gradually reintroduced into your diet.

Will I feel hungry?

Perhaps, for the first few days of the liquid fast as your body undergoes a period of adjustment. Thereafter, you will experience a sense of well-being and increased energy.
