What Your Gift Can Do

Your support really can make a difference to so many! 100% of all contributions made to the Foundation by generous individuals, corporations, businesses and foundations directly support the extraordinary healthcare programs and services at John Muir Health.

Philanthropic donations through the John Muir Health Foundation have made possible the following technological advancements:

Cardiac Rhythm Center

A newly constructed electrophysiology suite located at John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek Campus, designed to include the most sophisticated equipment and computer software currently available for diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders.

Neurovascular Suite

A newly constructed suite featuring leading edge vascular imaging technology designed to allow physicians to view all of the body's major and minor vessels with extraordinary clarity allowing for the improved diagnosis of impending strokes, improved treatment of strokes and aneurysms, and more precise carotid artery stenting.

Neurosciences Institute

An advanced and comprehensive resource for the treatment of brain and spine injuries, stroke, dementia, and tumors that incorporates clinical experts in neurosurgery, neurology, neuro-interventional radiology, radiation therapy, neurophyscology, and physiatry. Nationally certified as a Primary Stroke Center. Also includes the Stereotactic Radiosurgery System- Novalis, a non-invasive system designed to treat tumors otherwise deemed inoperable.

Lung and Esophageal Cancer Treatment

John Muir Health is the first Oncology Center in Northern California to offer the EBUS (Ultrasonic Bronchofibervideoscope). This very efficient and accurate method for diagnosis of lung cancer and esophageal cancer uses an Endobronchial Ultrasound-guided Bronchoscope designed for diagnostic biopsies in the lung. This breakthrough technology combines maximum reliability and minimum invasiveness.

da Vinci Robotic Surgical System

Revolutionary surgical technology that allows surgeons to operate from a remote console using robotic arms, tiny instruments, and the smallest of incisions. The robot allows surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures in previously inaccessible areas of the body allowing for dramatically shortened recovery times.

Give to Where the Need is Greatest

More than half of all donations to the Foundation are unrestricted, providing John Muir Health Foundation with the flexibility to direct critical funding to programs and services with the greatest needs.
