With the John Muir Physician Network you have access to a full array of excellent Primary Care Physicians, Specialty Physicians, hospitals, surgery centers and ancillary service providers. Your health plan has recognized the value of the John Muir Physician Network because of these health care providers.

As a member with an HMO insurance plan, you will be required to follow the guidelines outlined both by your insurance plan and as specified in this guide. Your assigned Primary Care Physician serves as the coordinator for your overall care. We place great emphasis on preventive care to help keep you healthy, so we encourage you to actively participate in the various preventive care programs and educational sessions available. Services such as immunizations, routine screening exams, mammograms, colonoscopies, PAP smears, blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol checks are very important to maintaining good health. They also reduce the need for "sick" care by identifying problems or potential problems before they become serious health issues.

Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with this guide to understand how your HMO plan works and how to access various aspects of your health care within the John Muir Physician Network.
