The attached reference lists of critical (panic) values for lab services performed at MuirLab & JMH Walnut Creek Campus are provided for neonates, inpatients, skilled nursing facility (SNF) patients, and outpatients. Critical values require a call to a responsible licensed caregiver within 60 minutes of results becoming available. Microbiology critical values are called without delay directly to a physician. These critical values are subject to change, as determined by the medical director of the laboratory.
