The Center for Recovery, at the John Muir Behavioral Health Center, treats voluntary adults ages 18 and up for all types of alcohol and chemical dependency, including prescription medications such as Vicodin, OxyContin, Methadone and Valium and street drugs such as methamphetamines, heroin, cocaine and crack; designer drugs such as Ecstasy and GHB.
Rest assured, the days of painful "cold turkey" detoxifications are over. Our specialized medical and nursing staff provides safe, medical detoxification with 24-hour nursing supervision for a comfortable and controlled withdrawal. You will receive regular visits from a counselor and be cared for in a clean—and compassionate—environment.
More than 50% of our patients continue treatment with either a two-week "partial hospitalization" program or the 4-6 week "intensive outpatient" evening program. These provide a structured, secure and supervised environment during the early phase of recovery and include educational programs and group therapy sessions.
Our residentail program allows patients to stay at our overnite residence wile attending outpatient ???
But treatment does not end after detox. Our focus is to give you the tools and ongoing support you need to continue to live a healthy and drug-free life in a sober environment. Read more about our After Care Program.
