Who Should Attend?

Primary Care Physicians, Emergency Medicine Physicians, Occupational Health Physicians, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, or other Health Care Professionals with interest in Orthopedics.

Course Objectives

  1. Demonstrate a general understanding of treatment options for Orthopedic conditions effecting the spine, knee, hip, upper extremity and shoulder.
  2. Outline the current evidence-based practice guidelines for available treatments for the above conditions.
  3. Improve the integration of orthopedic principles into medical practice and understand the appropriate candidates for orthopedic surgery referral.
  4. Outline the various types of cultural diversities: gender, age, race, religion, ethnicity, language, sexual orientation, socio-economics, etc, that relate to demographics, diagnosis and treatment.
