Pre Operative Services - At Your Service

Our new convenient and spacious Pre-Admission Clinic in Walnut Creek provides intake services for any patient planning to have surgery at the Walnut Creek Campus. The clinic is staffed by pre-operative nurses who conduct admission history interviews, reconcile medication issues and provide educational material anywhere from two to four days prior to surgery. The Clinic also offers an on-site laboratory and EKG services.

• Hospitalist physicians provide H&P and specialty consult services as requested.
• Anesthesiologists provide consults on request for patients who have concerns or a past history of complications, including a previous difficult intubation or poor reaction.
• Postoperative pain management consultation is also available for patients with chronic pain.

Prior to Surgery...

If you have a medical condition such as Diabetes, heart or lung problems and need medical clearance for surgery, please see your Primary Care Physician at least two weeks prior to any scheduled surgery. If you do not have a primary care physician but still need a medical clearance or other consult, please notify your surgeon.
