John Muir Physical Rehabilitation offers evaluation and treatment for vestibular and balance dysfunction. The program requires a written referral from a physician, and is covered by most insurance plans.

Evaluation includes testing specific for assessing the degree of balance deficits, such as postural control and motion sensitivity. The interpretation of these tests are discussed with the patient.

Treatment is based on the findings of the testing, and is directed toward improving balance with daily functional activities.

An individualized home program is included as part of the treatment.
