Safety Concerns for Older Drivers

For many adults, driving represents independence and freedom. It is a way to access healthcare, to buy necessities, to be productive and stay in contact with family and friends. Medical conditions, medications usage and reduced physical function can increase the risk of accidents and injury among older drivers. Giving up driving can be a deeply personal and emotional issue.

Discussing concerns with your family or doctor could be helpful in assessing your driving skills.
