John Muir Health Outpatient Center, Brentwood is a comprehensive outpatient medical facility serving the greater Brentwood/East County area. We offer a wide range of physician and clinical services in one convenient location. These services are available to the entire community—you don't need to have a doctor with an office at the facility to use our services. All major insurance is accepted.

For emergencies such as chest pain and serious cardiac conditions, severe abdominal pain, loss of limb, severe burns, loss of consciousness, or traumatic injuries, go to the nearest dedicated emergency department. If in doubt, contact your personal doctor or call 911. There is no emergency department at the John Muir Health Outpatient Center, Brentwood.

Admitting

The Admitting Department registers patients for the following outpatient procedures: MuirLab, Cardiac Conditioning, and Medical Imaging Services including: X-ray, CT scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Ultrasound, fluoroscopy, bone density and EKG. Patients may also pre-register online 24 to 48 hours in advance of their appointments.

Cardiac Conditioning

Medically supervised cardiac conditioning is designed to improve cardiovascular fitness and reduce risk factors. A physician referral is required. Please call for more information.

Family Practice

We provide comprehensive care to individuals and families. If you are a new patient, please download, print, and fill out the adult registration packet or pediatric registration packet. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Lung Health Services' Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program

We offer exercise classes for people who have completed the six-week pulmonary rehabilitation program. Participants receive peer and staff support and professional supervision to stay motivated and increase or maintain their functional level and independence, reduce the frequency of hospitalizations. Maintenance exercise hours are Tuesday and Thursday, 8:45 to 10:00 AM.

Medical Imaging Services

Outpatient fully digital medical imaging services include diagnostic X-ray, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, mammography, CT, and bone density examinations. A mobile unit provides MRI examinations. EKG services are also provided. The medical imaging department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A written physician order is required before an imaging examination may be performed; all exams require appointments except routine X-rays.

Mobile Health Clinic

The Mobile Health Clinic provides free health services for uninsured residents who have acute, short-term problems. Clinics are held on most Saturday’s of the month from 9:00 AM to Noon at 633 Village Drive, Brentwood. Care is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. MuirLab

MuirLab provides a full range of laboratory services in conveniently located patient service centers throughout the community. At John Muir Health Outpatient Center, Brentwood, MuirLab is open Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 to 11:00 AM. Holiday hours vary. Appointments are not necessary; patients are seen on a first-come basis. MuirLab is also located at 350 John Muir Parkway in Brentwood.

Outpatient Physical Rehabilitation Services

We offer personalized therapy programs for orthopedic, neck, back, and sports injuries; neurological disorders and trauma, vestibular and balance disorders; and work conditioning/hardening. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

John Muir Health Behavioral Health Services’ Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides outpatient treatment for adults with mental health diagnoses and/or addictions. PHP helps people make the transition out of an inpatient program or serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization.

Participants attend small group therapy sessions Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for two to four weeks, as well as individual meetings. For more information, to make a referral, or to become a participant, please contact our assessment office directly at

From managing your child's asthma to making sure she gets her immunizations, our pediatricians act as your first contact when it comes to the medical care your child needs. Surgery Center

Brentwood Surgery Center is a freestanding, multi-specialty surgery center. Board-certified physicians, a licensed nursing team, and a friendly and helpful staff provide compassionate care. The center specializes in the following surgical procedures: Orthopedic, Gastroenterology, Podiatry, General Surgery, Gynecological, Ear, Nose and Throat, and Pain Management. Hours of operation are 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

We provide minor injury and same day appointment services for medical problems that are not life threatening to life or limb, including minor accidents, strains, and sprains, acute illnesses such as severe sore throats, high fevers, painful ear infections, abdominal pain, and allergic reactions, and X-ray and lab services.
