John Muir Health Outpatient Center, Tice Valley/Rossmoor is a comprehensive outpatient medical facility in southwest Walnut Creek. These services are available to the entire community—you don't need to have a physician at the facility to use its services.

Local Information

John Muir Health Outpatient Center, Tice Valley/Rossmoor is located in southwest Walnut Creek, across the street from the Rossmoor Shopping Center. Nearby businesses include pharmacies, banks, supermarkets, and nursing facilities.

Convenient public transportation options include Route 1 of the County Connection bus line, County Connection LINK paratransit, and six routes of the Rossmoor bus line. Local taxi services also stop at our front entrance throughout the day.

Parking

Parking is free and on a first-come basis. The front parking lot is reserved for patients using the facility. Numerous handicapped parking spaces are provided, in addition to visitor spaces and a smaller lot dedicated to handicapped parking. Our Physical Rehabilitation department has its own small parking lot.

Community-based Classes

Community-based classes are offered at John Muir Health Outpatient Center, Tice Valley/Rossmoor such as a Balance Class for persons suffering from balance deficits, including postural control and motion sensitivity, and a Stroke and Parkinson’s Class for persons affected by those conditions.

Dental Services

The dental practice offers specialty care in prosthodontics, periodontal and general dentistry. Dental services include comprehensive oral rehabilitation which may include dental implants, complete and removable partial dentures, extensive fixed (cemented) crowns and bridges and other restorative and cosmetic enhancing dental procedures. The dental team’s ultimate goal is to improve and maintain each individual’s oral health care.

Lymphedema Program

Lymphedema is a chronic condition in which excess fluid accumulates in the tissues causing swelling in the arms, legs or trunk. For persons affected by this condition, we offer a program provided by therapists specially trained in manual lymph drainage and combined decongestive therapy, which includes compression bandaging, exercises, and skin care.

Medical Equipment Loan Program

Patients and community residents can borrow wheelchairs, walkers, bath hairs, and other needed equipment for up to 90 days. For more information call the number above and ask for the volunteer desk.

General X-ray, digital mammography, ultrasound, and bone density scanning are available at John Muir Health Outpatient Center, Tice Valley/Rossmoor. No appointment is necessary for general X-rays.

MuirLab provides a full range of laboratory services in conveniently located patient service centers throughout the community. At John Muir Health Outpatient Center, Tice Valley/Rossmoor, MuirLab is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Appointments are not necessary; patients are seen on a first-come basis.
