High School Student Volunteer Program

Local high school students interested in a healthcare career can gain invaluable experience by helping staff, patients and visitors at our Walnut Creek Medical Center.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Must be at least 14.5 years old
  • Must be at least second semester freshman
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Attend a Saturday orientation with a parent or guardian
  • Complete required training
  • Volunteer one 3-hour shift per week, year-round
  • Commit to volunteer through end of senior year

Local high school students interested in a healthcare career can gain invaluable experience by helping staff, patients and visitors at The Auxiliary at our Walnut Creek Medical Center proudly offers selective scholarships to high school seniors and college students who have volunteered in our High School Volunteer Program. Awards are based on academics, leadership, community service, and a desire to pursue a healthcare-related degree.
