Who is a candidate for ROSA Total Knee Replacement?
The ROSA Knee System is appropriate for anyone with early-to-mid stage osteoarthritis who is exhibiting symptoms such as knee pain, knee swelling, and knee locking, and has not responded to conservative treatment. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease, resulting in the breakdown and loss of cartilage in the joint that provides cushioning between the bones.
What can I expect before, during and after the procedure?
- Before – Your surgeon will take a series of x-rays and create a 3D model of your unique knee anatomy.
- During – Much like traditional total knee replacement but with the added precision that robotic-assisted technology provides.
