Walnut Creek, Calif. (July 14, 2015) — John Muir Health announced today that it is now operating the former Livermore Medical Clinic at 87 Fenton Street, Suite 210. The office, which opened to patients on July 14, has been completely remodeled and updated with John Muir Health's state-of-the-art electronic health record system.
There are four family medicine physicians and a physician assistant available to see patients, including Dr. Richard Kilker, Dr. Rina Garuda (starting in September), Dr. Sonal Aggarwal, Dr. Manisha Shingate and Jeff Carmack, PA. Office hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
"We're pleased to be able to offer the same providers that patients have been seeing at this location, as well as additional primary care physicians to serve the growing community in Livermore and the Tri-Valley," said Lee Huskins, president and CAO of John Muir Health's Physician Network. "Patients will also now have access to more than 400 specialists affiliated with our Physician Network, as well as access to San Ramon Regional Medical Center and John Muir Health's hospitals in Walnut Creek and Concord."
Technology at the Livermore office has been upgraded to include John Muir Health's electronic health record system, which gives patients the opportunity to manage their health care online through MyJohnMuirHealth. After signing up for the free service, patients can e-mail their doctor's office, request appointments, request prescription refills, download their health record and view most lab results. The electronic health record of patients of the Livermore practice will also be available to physicians at other John Muir Health locations throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties to ensure seamless care.
