Walnut Creek, Calif. (July 31, 2019) – John Muir Health’s Concord and Walnut Creek medical centers earned the designation of Best Regional Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report in its annual list of America's Best Hospitals.

To earn this distinction, each medical center had to earn at least one national ranking in a specialty or at least three ratings of “high performing” across 12 specialties and nine procedures and conditions. For the 13th consecutive year, Walnut Creek Medical Center had at least one service nationally ranked, one of just 165 medical centers to do so. Our partner, UCSF Medical Center, was ranked first in the San Francisco Metro Area again this year, second in the state and seventh in the country.

“Year after year, our outstanding team of physicians, nurses, clinical and support services staff, and volunteers show unwavering commitment to quality, safety and the patient experience,” said Jane Willemsen, Executive Vice President and President, Hospital Operations at John Muir Health. “We are honored by these outstanding recognitions and ratings from one of the most respected sources in health care.
