We are very pleased to announce that our Walnut Creek Medical Center received an “A” safety grade and our Concord Medical Center a “B” safety grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to quality and safety. The scores for our two medical centers were very similar so we just missed having both receive an “A” grade. Developed under the guidance of an Expert Panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 27 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to approximately 2,700 U.S. hospitals twice per year. These strong grades are a reflection of our ongoing commitment to being a High Reliability Organization and to providing the highest quality and safest possible patient care. We thank our physicians, nurses and clinical and support staff for always focusing on the needs of our patients and for always delivering the best possible care, safely, and an outstanding experience.
