Through our collaboration with Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, we diagnose and treat conditions involving the ear, nose, throat and related structures in children of all ages—right here, close to home.      

In addition to your pediatric otolaryngologist, your child’s care team may also include nurses and other healthcare providers—all who have advanced training in specifically treating children and teens.

I chose pediatric medicine for the opportunity to interact with patients and get them results that consider their overall quality of life, encompassing mental as well as physical well-being. My approach is to make sure that families always know they are an important part of the decision-making process that determines treatment. It is so gratifying to create a bond with kids and their caregivers—making that connection helps me get the full story of their condition and learn what they already know about it.

I have always enjoyed science and working with my hands, so going into medicine came naturally to me. Being a surgeon gives me a way to help people, and I fell in love with pediatric otolaryngology because being around kids makes me happy. The first thing I do is try to find a common ground with my patients. To see where they are coming from, what their biggest concerns are, and center on meeting their goals. Being able to follow kids over time and make a difference in their lives keeps me motivated.
