SMS Mobile Messaging Terms & Conditions

John Muir Health (JMH) uses SMS (short message service) mobile messaging to provide alerts to patients, health care providers, and community members regarding new services, events and programs, facility information, and general health and wellness.  The SMS terms below pertain to text messaging for the purposes described in this paragraph.

Text messages should not be relied on or used for emergency communications.  In most cases, SMS text alerts are one-way communications to which recipients cannot reply.

Patient Texting Program

JMH uses MyChart SMS mobile messaging to communicate with patients about their individual health care needs and situations, including health screenings and appointment reminders.  Please see MyChart terms for separate terms pertaining to the MyChart SMS mobile messaging program.
